Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Richthrill LTD collects, why we collect it, how we store it, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: September 15, 2026
1. Who we are
Richthrill LTD ("Richthrill", "we", "us") is an entertainment, media and marketing agency based in Abuja, Nigeria. We operate this website and the services available through it, and we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or the way we handle your information, you can reach us at hello@richthrill.com.
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it to us, or when it is required to deliver the service you've asked for. The categories of information we collect depend on how you interact with us.
Information you give us
- Bookings and event registrations. Name, email address, phone number, event details, location, budget, and any message you send.
- Orders and purchases. Name, email address, payment method, order reference, and — for bank transfer orders — the payment proof file you upload.
- Contact and enquiry forms. Name, email address, subject and the content of your message. Advertising and partnership enquiries also include company name and, optionally, budget.
- Talent applications. Name, email address, phone number, category, location, portfolio or social links, and any supporting information you provide.
- Donations and volunteer signups. Name, email address, phone, donation amount (if applicable), message, and — for volunteers — availability and skills.
- Newsletter and launch notifications. Email address (and name if you provide it).
Information we collect automatically
- Technical information. IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and the pages you visit on our site. We use this for security, spam prevention, and to understand how the site is used.
- Cookies and similar technologies. A small number of session and preference cookies (see section 6).
Information we receive from third parties
- Payment processors. When you pay online, our payment provider (Paystack) confirms to us whether a payment succeeded or failed. We do not receive your full card details.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry, booking, application or request.
- To process orders, deliver downloads, issue tickets, and confirm payments.
- To confirm and coordinate event registrations, volunteer placements, and talent representation.
- To send transactional emails (order confirmations, download links, booking confirmations, etc.).
- To send updates about Richthrill events, releases and services — only where you have opted in or where there is a legitimate interest.
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax and record-keeping requirements.
- To improve the site, our services, and how we communicate.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract. To fulfil an order, booking, registration or other service you've requested.
- Consent. For optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests. To run our business effectively — for example, preventing fraud, improving our services, and responding to enquiries.
- Legal obligation. To keep financial records, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and meet regulatory requirements.
5. Payment processing
When you pay for an order online, your payment is processed by Paystack, a third-party payment provider. Paystack receives the card or payment details you enter and processes the transaction on our behalf.
We receive only a confirmation of the transaction and a payment reference. We do not see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials.
If you choose bank transfer, you send payment directly to our bank account. The proof-of-payment file you upload to us (a screenshot or receipt) may contain partial account information. We store it only to verify your payment and keep it for our financial records.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as we are legally required to keep it.
- Enquiries and applications that don't lead to an ongoing relationship: typically 12 months, then deleted.
- Orders, bookings and donations: kept for as long as needed to fulfil the service, plus up to 6 years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Talent and roster information: kept for the duration of your representation, plus a reasonable period after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymised where possible.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or anonymise it securely.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the following rights over your personal information:
- Access. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it.
- Restriction. Ask us to stop processing your information in certain circumstances.
- Objection. Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and opt out of marketing at any time.
- Portability. Receive your information in a structured, commonly used format.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@richthrill.com with enough information to identify you. We respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC); in the EU, your local supervisory authority.
10. How we protect your information
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and our servers.
- Hashed passwords for admin accounts (never stored in plain text).
- Restricted access to personal data — only team members who need it for their role have access.
- Rate limiting and audit logging on admin sign-in.
- Regular review of what we collect and why.
No system is 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and any relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some of our events and community programs involve children — in those cases, information is provided by a parent or guardian on the child's behalf, and we process it only to run the event or program.
If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
We are based in Nigeria, and your information is stored on servers that may be located outside Nigeria (for example, where our hosting provider operates). When we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an equivalent level of protection to what it would receive in Nigeria.
Our payment processor, Paystack, and our email service providers may also process data outside Nigeria. Their privacy policies apply to their handling of your information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when we add a new service or when the law changes. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
Continuing to use our site or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
14. Contact us
